Dr. Alyssa Hiatt

Dr. Alyssa Hiatt was born and raised in the great state of Texas and knew from the age of four that she wanted to be a veterinarian—and that she was going to Texas A&M to make it happen. Although she detoured to Arkansas Tech University to play collegiate volleyball and receive Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Agricultural Business, she stayed true to that dream. In May of 2022, Dr. Hiatt graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&M University as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.

With a passion for internal medicine, Dr. Hiatt enjoys building lasting relationships with clients and helping strengthen the human-animal bond. She started her career as a mixed animal veterinarian in Northeast Nebraska, working with both small animals, like dogs and cats, and large animals, including cattle, goats, sheep, and horses. Some of the coolest experiences of her career so far have been performing c-sections on cows.

Outside of work, Dr. Alyssa enjoys spending time with her husband, Joshua, new baby, Hazel, and their two dogs, Ava & Daisy. She is also active in her church, where she volunteers with the youth group and helps lead a life group/Bible study. You can often find her cheering on the Dallas Stars hockey team or watching the Dallas Cowboys lose!

Clients of Fort Street Veterinarian,

I have bittersweet news to share. At the end of August, I will be leaving FSV as my family moves home to Texas.

It's been such a pleasure getting to know many of you and care for your pets like they were my own. Thank you for trusting me with their care and for allowing me to be part of your lives. I will dearly miss seeing all of you.I know your pets will continue to be in great hands with the amazing veterinarians and staff at the clinic.

Thank you again for all the wonderful memories, and I wish you and your furry family members nothing but the best!
